FORESTRY COMMISSION GRANTS IN scotland

The Scottish Forestry Grants Scheme (SFGS) closed on 31st August 2006. Since then there has been limited funding released for the creation of new woodlands, but this was allocated on a competitive basis, and the application process has now closed.

The future plans for forestry grants in Scotland is very uncertain, but the FCS have said:

“A new Scottish Rural Development Plan (SRDP) will be introduced in 2007 and new forestry grants will be part of an integrated rural support system called Rural Development Contracts (RDC).  The Rural Development Contracts section gives details of RDCs and the new forestry grants.”
